Private sales fashion site Cocosa has launched travel deals on its website.

The site, which former Harrods owner Mohammed al-Fayed is understood to be close to buying, will offer its members travel deals in limited period flash sales. Luxury holiday deals will be offered to its members three times per week.

Cocosa managing director Linda Peters said: “Luxury travel is something we know our members want and we are delighted to offer carefully chosen luxury and boutique accommodation in sought-after destinations. This is Cocosa’s first step into a lifestyle offer.”

Al-Fayed’s colleagues, Jeffrey Byrne and Robert Fallowfield, who currently work for the entrepreneur’s Highland estate business Balnagown, were last month registered as directors for a new business called Cocosa Lifestyle. The former Harrods owner is understood to be in discussions with Cocosa owner publishing group Bauer Media to acquire the business

The site, which launched in 2008, has over 500,000 members.
