Asos has appointed the chief executive of internet service provider Tiscali to its board.
Mary Turner will take up her post has non-executive director from September 1, 2009 and has been appointed to help advise Asos on its international growth strategy.
Prior to joining Tiscali, Turner headed up BT LineOne, an internet service provider run as a joint venture between BT and United News & Media.
Asos chairman Lord Alli said: “We are delighted to welcome Mary Turner to the board. Mary has an extensive knowledge of the online sector which, along with her knowledge of the US and European markets, will greatly benefit Asos’ international growth strategy.”
