The system from Maginus will be used to lift sales across retail and wholesale channels.
Berry Bros & Rudd Ireland general manager Jessica Lavin said that the wine trade processes covered by the system, as well as the customer data it holds, should give the company competitive advantage.
The merchant began trading in Ireland in 1999 and has increased sales to about£5 million a year. Lavin says the retailer wants to double turnover in the next few years.
In the first phase of the project, the system will be up and running by mid-July, in plenty of time for the Christmas sales peak.
Lavin added that the existing systems were preventing the company from doing the volumes of business it would like. She believes the company will become more profitable as a result of the new system, because staff will be able to spend more time selling and less time on admin.
A second phase of the project will deal specifically with improving online sales and may not begin until next year.
