Poundland’s ‘Grab A Bite’ meal deal doesn’t require a loyalty card

The new meal deal has been launched under the brand name ‘Grab A Bite’ and includes a selection of sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks.

The value retailer has priced its new meal deal at £3, with Poundland saying its offer differentiation is that the price is “not dependent on the need for a loyalty card”.

The new food and drink options come from “high-quality companies” that also supply other retailers such as Marks & Spencer.

The main Grab A Bite foods include a chicken tikka wrap, cheese & pickle sandwich, sushi pack and a prawn pasta salad.

Side dishes include a Ginsters slice, Pringles, Snickers bar and Doritos Chilli Heatwave crisps. Drinks options include Lucozade Alert, Red Bull, Coca Cola and San Pellegrino lemon.

The ranges have been developed in collaboration with Greencore and fresh sandwich supplier On A Roll.

As part of the launch, Poundland is putting up blue plaques outside 20 of its best-performing lunchtime stores to showcase that it offers the cheapest meal deal in the country.

Poundland head of chilled and frozen Kyle Storey said: “Our mission here at Poundland has always been to provide our customers with the best possible value, without compromising on taste or quality.

“With our new meal deal, we’re not only offering an unbeatable price, but also ensuring that everyone can access a delicious and satisfying meal without the need for a plastic loyalty card.”
