Topshop chief marketing officer Justin Cooke has left his role after just over a year in the role as global head of marketing Sheena Sauvaire takes over.

Cooke, who was vice president for PR at Burberry before his move to Topshop, has exited to set up his own consultancy business.

Cooke was a key architect of Topshop’s much-acclaimed London Fashion Show social media campaign earlier this year. The retailer offered online viewers backstage access to its shows including a model’s-eye view of the show with models such as Cara Delevingne wearing HD micro-cameras.

It also allowed viewers to speak directly with designers and fashion editors via Google+ and launched a Be the Buyer app enabling users to curate the collection.

Sauvaire has worked at Topshop since 2006, most recently as global head of marketing.

Cooke’s departure follows the exit of Alex Tait, group head of ecommerce at Topshop parent company Arcadia, after only five months in the role.
