Profits nearly double
Regional mixed-merchandise retailer TJ Morris has seen aÂŁ44 million increase in turnover for the year ended June 30.
The private retailer, which runs 83 outlets across northwest England, primarily under the Home Bargains brand, saw turnover rise fromÂŁ141.2 million last year toÂŁ185.7 million. Profit before tax wasÂŁ12.1 million, compared withÂŁ6.7 million the year before.
Sole director Tom Morris founded the company in 1976.
