Tesco will open its first shopping centre in the northeastern Chinese city of Fushan later this year.

As well as stores, the 500,000 sq ft scheme will include residential units, a food court and a gym.

It is believed that the mall will include a number of Western retailers and that plans are in place for a further four freehold shoping centres in the country this year, with a further 14 in the pipeline shoiuld the Fushan venture prove successful.
