The Very Group has entered a three-year partnership to help revamp its pricing strategy with agentic AI.
The fashion and general merchandise retailer will work with automation and business orchestration platform UiPath to introduce an AI-powered agentic pricing solution for quicker, more transparent decision-making across its brands.
The tie-up enhances The Very Group’s current data-led pricing strategy, this time with advanced solutions such as campaign simulation and optimisation, scenario planning, and clear AI explainability.
It will remove some of the manual processes usually carried out by staff, so they have time to work on more analytic tasks. The new partnership also marks a new step in the retailer’s broader strategy to build and scale agentic AI.
The Very Group expects the partnership will help optimise gross margin and stock management, improve pricing agility, and bring a better level of visibility to performance and margins.
The Very Group chief customer and commercial officer Sam Wright said: “We have a range of over 200,000 products and pricing is one of the most powerful levers in retail. The combination of our expertise and their data is helping Very stay ahead of shifting consumer demand and trends to make more informed decisions on pricing and merchandising.”
UiPath director of retail solutions Catherine Frame added: “Our partnership with The Very Group demonstrates how agentic AI can fundamentally reshape retail pricing. By combining automation with intelligent, explainable decision-making, retailers can better access a strategic, data-led approach that drives both profitability and customer value.”
