In 2026, AI is what people turn to for midweek meal inspiration. Nearly three-quarters (73.6%) have used an AI-powered tool to help them come up with recipe ideas, according to new research by Attest, closely followed by personalised meal planning (62.2%) and nutritional advice (59.1%). But this sweeping AI influence across food raises a serious question: how can retailers ensure they’re not being surfaced by AI as it crawls the internet for answers?
