A glittering evening with more than 700 attendees saw the cream of the UK store design industry’s efforts rewarded.

The New Store Europe Retail Week Interior Awards took place on Thursday in London’s Park Lane Hilton. A crowd of more than 700 retailers, designers and shopfitters gathered to celebrate the best store designs of the year. Westfield Stratford’s shops bagged the greatest number of awards while the grand prix - UK Retail Interior of the Year - went to Hotel Chocolat’s Roast + Conch store in Covent Garden.

The winners were as follows:

  • The Birley Manufacturing International Fashion Retail of the Year

  • The Patton Best Department Store of the Year

  • Non-Food Design of the Year

Winner: Domus Tiles, Clerkenwell, by ‘i-am’ Associates

  • The Bridgford Interiors International Non-Food Large Format of the Year

Winner: Fixtures Living, California, by Fitch

  • Best Lighting and Fixturing of the Year
