Public Desire has opened its first-ever bricks-and-mortar store in Saudi Arabia.

The store marks the pureplay shoe retailer’s first foray into physical stores and is based in Al Nakheel Mall, Riyadh’s most innovative shopping destination.

It features a pink interior to help consumers create Instagrammable moments in store, as well as a curated selection of Public Desire’s signature footwear and exclusive products for Saudi shoppers.

It also includes a virtual try-on experience, allowing shoppers to see what shoes will look like without physically having to try them on.

While the brand, which launched in 2014, is based in Manchester, the Saudi store will be operated by Alhokair, the leading franchise retailer in the country.

Public Desire managing director Qasim Akhlaq said: “As a business, we always want to be the best within our industry and we have built up an incredibly powerful online presence.

“Now that we understand who our customers are and what they want, we’re ready to take the next step in retail and open our first-ever store. We’re delighted with the Saudi Arabia store and the experience it offers to customers.

“Our fast-moving industry means we always need to be introducing new ideas and opportunities for our customers and we think the store opening is the perfect next step for Public Desire.”

“The store embodies exactly what Public Desire is as a brand: a crucial figure in fashion, bringing both creativity and innovation to disrupt the footwear industry, as well as being the go-to hub for all fashion-forward females looking for fresh new styles at affordable prices.”
