The long-awaited Burberry global flagship on Regent Street has opened.
Standing on the site of the former Habitat store, the store staged a low-key opening yesterday evening as the hoardings across the windows were removed to reveal a series of displays featuring the brand’s signature raincoats.
This is Burberry’s largest outpost and features the world’s biggest in-store screen, on which images and video from the brand are displayed. The store also features a host of digital features, intended to provide a point of difference from other luxury retailers.
Much play has been made of the internal architectural features, with the central atrium being completely uncovered and the tiered nature of the mezzanine level strongly emphasised.
