News has emerged about the interior form of the UK’s first Anthropologie store, set to open on Regent Street in the autumn.

The Urban Outfitters-owned format will make its London debut on three levels: basement, ground and first. Anthropologie is installing a cast iron, glass and steel staircase that will link all three floors and that is intended to be the store’s focal point.

The use of a staircase follows the lead provided by parent Urban Outfitter’s UK stores, all of which use the feature as the major design element of their interiors. The staircase will benefit from high levels of natural daylight, with two skylights above it.

The storefront will be bronze-framed and will have double-height outward opening doors.

The local architect of the new store is London-based Tom Giannini Architects.
