Troubled fashion retailer Store Twenty One, which stocks a range of lingerie by glamour model Katie Price, has attracted the interest of restructuring firms.

GA Europe and Hilco are both eyeing the embattled retailer, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Store Twenty One, which is owned by Indian textiles giant Alok Group, shut down the transactional side of its website today as fears deepen for the stricken retailer.

It is understood that debt collectors have been called by at least two landlords because of concerns about unpaid rent.

Alok Group has invested more than £100m in the 200-store retailer since it acquired the business in 2007. However, in its year to March 2012, losses hit £19.9m against sales of £99.4m.

The news comes as young fashion retailer Republic is also said to be in trouble. The retailer, chaired by former Asda boss Andy Bond, is in discussions to move to monthly rents to control cashflow and is considering shedding some of its 120 stores.
