Halfords has appointed Jess Frame as its new managing director of retail, effective from July 21, 2025.

She will report directly to Halfords chief executive Henry Birch and will head up the company’s retail division.

Her new role will involve leading the Halfords store estate as well as its omnichannel operations.

Frame joins the business from her most recent role as managing partner at consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and brings more than 20 years of “senior leadership experience” across retail, customer strategy and consumer services.

Prior to her time at BCG she was also chief executive of veterinary clinics The Vet Group, and has held senior roles at the likes of Tesco and NutriCentre during her career.

Halfords said the appointment comes at an “exciting time” for the business and that the onboarding of Frame marks the “next step in strengthening leadership across the group” as Halfords continues on its bid to drive growth.

Halfords chief executive Henry Birch said: â€œI am really delighted to have someone of Jess’ calibre joining the Halfords team and I know she will bring a fresh approach and renewed focus to our strategically important retail business.

“She brings with her a wealth of relevant experience and I am very much looking forward to working with her.”
