Shopping centres are among the top targets for terrorists in the run-up to Christmas, as Gordon Brown warned that attacks could hit “anywhere and from any place.”
The Prime Minister is set to unveil plans to protect public buildings following the attempted bombings at Glasgow airport and in London during the summer.
Large shopping centres, such as Bluewater and Gateshead ’s Metro Centre, are known terrorist targets, but the proposals are expected to extend this to include all malls and sports stadiums during the festive season.
