Retail Property - Hercules spends £73m on parks

Hercules Unit Trust has bought two more retail parks for£73.7 million to continue its recent out-of-town spending spree. The fund recently participated in the£695 million break-up of Kingfisher's Chartwell Land portfolio.

In Cowley, near Oxford, Hercules has bought the Oxford retail park from Credit Suisse Property Investment Management for£28.5 million. The 5,100 sq m park has an open A1 non-food planning consent.

Hercules has also bought the 15,795 sq m Palace Grounds retail park in Hamilton, Scotland, from Equitable Life for£45.2 million.
