Mixed-use properties produce better returns for investors than single-use properties, according to research from FPDSavills. Over the past year, mixed-use property showed an annual return of 14.2 per cent, the agent calculates. Researcher Yolande Barnes says the research counters the conventional view that some tenants pay less for mixed-use buildings and that values are impaired by the presence of other uses, especially residential.
