Edinburgh retail park Fort Kinnaird has announced a raft of new lettings, with three to retailers that are experimenting with out-of-town sites.
Warner Bros, Early Learning Centre and Clinton Cards have all selected the 68,000 sq m park for their testbed stores.
The letting to Clinton Cards, on a 900 sq m unit, has set a new headline rent for Fort Kinnaird of£457 per sq m. Meanwhile, Warner Bros has taken a 495 sq m shop and Early Learning Centre a 620 sq m unit, both at a rent of£430 per sq m.
The lettings follow an established trend. In the past four months, more than 2,800 sq m on the Hercules Unit Trust-owned park has been taken by traditional high street retailers.
Marks & Spencer has opened a new neighbourhood food store, while HMV has unveiled its fourth out-of-town unit. Fort Kinnaird was also the first Scottish out-of-town venue for Gap, Officers Club, H&M, Etam and Beaverbrooks.
The letting agents are Eric Young & Co, Morgan Williams and Harvey Spack Field.
