Mason leaves after two years
Levi's Europe president Paul Mason has quit the US jean giant after just two years.

Mason, who is said to have earned£2.5 million last year, is based at the group's headquarters in Belgium and will leave the company in February and return to the UK.

The news of Mason's departure follows a Levis head office reshuffle in November last year when the group split its European office into separate product and marketing divisions.

The company said today that a replacement for Mason is yet to appointed and Levi's are recruiting for the position.

Levi's and Co chief executive Phil Marineau lamented that, under Mason's leadership, Levi's had made progress in renewing the business. After his departure, priorities will include retail development and re-igniting young women's interest in the brand.

He added that Mason has left to 'return to live and work in England, where his home and family are located. I fully understand and appreciate his decision.'
