Oliver Bonas is set to open stores within retail parks for the first time, Retail Week can reveal.

The retailer will make its retail park debut in September with a store in Glasgow Fort, followed by Teesside Park later this autumn.
Oliver Bonas agreed the lease with British Land for the 2,800 sq ft of retail space in Glasgow and 3,190 sq ft in Teesside, and both stores will offer a selection of home decor, fashion and lifestyle products.
Oliver Bonas head of retail Sevda Cankorur said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our expansion with the opening of new stores at Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park.
“These openings reflect our commitment to bringing Oliver Bonas to more communities across the UK. We look forward to welcoming customers through our doors and sharing our latest design-led collections, offering inspiration across fashion, homeware and gifts.”
Earlier this year, British Land submitted a planning application for an expansion of Glasgow Fort, which, if approved, will create one of the UK’s first major retail and leisure developments of the last five years, with plans to expand the existing M&S store as well as adding an expanded leisure offering.
British Land head of asset management, retail parks, Matthew Reed said: “Oliver Bonas is a brand with a very clear identity and a loyal following, so their decision to open at both Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park speaks volumes about the strength of our regional destinations and the opportunity they offer. As a well-established national retailer, Oliver Bonas adds real depth to our line-up and further strengthens our lifestyle proposition. Their move also highlights the continued strength of the retail park format, with brands increasingly recognising the benefits of these well-connected, high-performing destinations.
“We’re always looking at how we can reposition, reinvest and refine the mix of stores and activities at our retail parks to reflect how customers are actually spending their time and money. The momentum we’re seeing in both footfall and retailer demand across Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park gives us real confidence in the continued growth of both destinations.”
