World Mental Health Day: Retailers launch staff support scheme

Seven leading retailers have joined together in a bid to improve the mental wellbeing of retail staff, with the help of Samaritans.

Coinciding with World Mental Health Day today, John Lewis PartnershipTescoSainsbury’sAsosthe Co-opMarks & Spencer and Next – with the guidance and expertise of charity Samaritans – have launched Wellbeing in Retail.

The online guide will aim to help the 2.9 million people that work in the retail industry by providing mental health advice for themselves and others who may be struggling.

Employees will be able to access information and suggestions, activities and resources that can be accessed via desktop, phone or tablet.
