Halfords has hired Waitrose finance director Loraine Woodhouse as its new CFO.

Woodhouse, who joins Halfords on November 1, was previously acting group finance director of the John Lewis Partnership.

She has also held finance director roles at property giant Intu, Hobbs, Costa Coffee and Kingfisher

Woodhouse replaces Jonny Mason, who leaves Halfords for Dixons Carphone at the end of July.

Halfords chief executive Graham Stapleton said: “I am delighted that Loraine will be joining Halfords as CFO and look forward to working with her. She has extensive finance leadership within service-based retail and will be a great addition to the senior team.”
