Flying Tiger Copenhagen has appointed Jens Aarup Mikkelsen as its new group chief executive as Martin Jermin steps down.
Flying Tiger said in a statement that Martin Jermin would “continue his career outside the company”, after seven years leading the retailer, although he would remain a member of the board of directors at the retailer’s parent company, Zebra A/S.
Aarup Mikkelsen has been promoted from his role as the lifestyle retailer’s international chief executive to group chief executive, effective immediately.
Zebra A/S chair John Dueholm said: “I’m very pleased to announce Jens Aarup Mikkelsen as our new chief executive. I regret to see Martin leave the company after seven years leading the business and wish him the best of luck with his new venture. However, we have a very strong internal successor ready. Jens’ appointment ensures continuity, stability, and continued momentum, as he has been part of Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s leadership team since 2019 and brings extensive international experience and deep knowledge of the business.
“Jens has successfully developed and strengthened the international operations and played a central role in both shaping and executing the strategy. In particular, since 2021, he has led the franchise expansion outside Europe, which represents a key growth engine for the company going forward.”
