Young fashion retailer Republic has relaunched its website to give it a fresher, less cluttered look.

Republic.co.uk has also been equipped with improved search and navigation tools and now includes style tips and advice about trends. A more streamlined checkout process was introduced earlier this year.

The overhaul follows the sale in June of the 105-store chain to private equity house TPG for a reported £300m. Republic’s co-founders, Tim Whitworth and Carl Brewins, retained more than 40% of the business and its management team have remained in place.

TPG plans to roll out more stores for the chain, which sells brands such as Diesel, Miss Sixty and G-Star.
