Shoe brand Oliver Sweeney has been rescued from administration by Amery Capital.

Amery Capital, which was established by the brothers Michael and Maurice Bennett, founders of the Oasis and Warehouse chains, and Maurice Helfgott, formerly head of menswear at Marks & Spencer, bought the brand out of a pre-pack admiistration. Designer Oliver Sweeney will stay on at the company he founded.

Oliver Sweeney generated sales of more than £6m last year.
