Notonthehighstreet.com has hired three new senior managers from online giants Amazon, Google and Paypal.

Amazon director of UK softlines Jason Weston joins as chief operating officer. During his 10 years at Amazon, Weston launched the clothing, accessories and sporting goods. He will be Not On The High Street’s first chief operating officer and will head up the day-to-day operations for the business.

The etailer has also poached PayPal UK marketing director Mark Hodson as its chief marketing officer. Google’s Maya Moufarek also joins the retailer as director of international development.  Moufarek was a founding member of Google’s EMEA emerging markets team and will implement Not On The High Street’s international strategy.

NotOnTheHighStreet brings together over 2000 businesses on one site. Index Ventures, which has previously backed Asos and Net-a-Porter, and Facebook and LinkedIn backer Greylock Partners ploughed £7.5m into the company last year.

Notonthehighstreet co-founder and executive chairman Holly Tucker said: “These new appointments come at a significant time for Notonthehighstreet.com and bring great leadership and business acumen as we work towards our vision of turning notonthehighstreet.com into a very well-known brand in the UK and abroad.

“[Their] combined expertise will be invaluable in helping us build and scale the business as we develop new and existing revenue streams and plan international expansion for the future.”
