Fashion retailer New Look has restructured its management team in a move which has seen board director Guy Lister leave the business.

In an internal announcement, seen by Retail Week, New Look chief executive Anders Kristiansen revealed Lister, who was customer and multichannel managing director, is among five senior personnel who will depart the retailer as part of its reorganisation today.

It is understood that Kristiansen, who joined the retailer six months ago, has made the changes to take more direct control of the business.

Head of commercial development James Brien, HR director David Bannister, head of merchandising for denim, knitwear, formal and casual jersey Fiona Forrest and head of HR Anna Lloyd are all leaving the business.

As part of the changes group buying director Roger Wightman will take on a larger role as managing director of buying, merchandising and design and will join the executive committee. Kristiansen has also promoted head of HR for channels and markets Julie Blomley to HR director and Simon Taylor, who is currently in charge of the franchise business in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia to head of franchise.

New Look declined to comment.

New Look, which is mid-turnaround, revealed it had returned to profit last week when it unveiled a £3.1m pre-tax profit in the 53 weeks to March 30 against a £54.5m loss last year.
