Like-for-likes up 2.5 per cent
Moss Bros has reported a rise in profits and sales in its full-year results published today.

Pre-tax profit at the men's fashion retailer was£6.7 million for the year to January 28, up from£5.7 million last year. Like-for-like sales were up 2.5 per cent for the period, marking the third consecutive year of like-for-like sales growth.

The group also reported a strong start to the year, with like-for-like sales for the first 10 weeks up 2 per cent, or an estimated 2.5 per cent after adjusting for a late Easter.

Last year the retailer opened 10 stores and launched an online and mail order shopping service. Management said there is potential to increase the number of Moss stores from 116 to 200 in the next three to five years.

The Moss Bros group includes eponymous stores, the Cecil Gee fascia and 13 Hugo Boss shops.
