The men’s gifts and accessories retailer has pushed the button on expansion after its most profitable year ever.

The retailer has added to its five-store portfolio, with stores in Highcross in Leicester and Westfield London, unveiling a new store look.

It is understood that Menkind will also open in Nottingham and Sheffield and is in talks for locations in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Cardiff. Mark Talbot, director of solely retained agent Angermann Goddard & Loyd, declined to comment on future openings.

He said: “We aim to take advantage of a few of the great deals we are being offered, but only where rents have been reduced to sensible levels.”

Menkind was created by Paul Kraftman in 2001.
