Marks & Spencer has unveiled its new womenswear autumn TV ads which will be screened on ITV1 from tonight (September 7).
The two ads, directed by Jordan Scott - daughter of film producer and director Ridley Scott - feature two women as they get prepare for nights out and are designed to bring together a collection of varied womenswear looks.
The first, entitled Rendezvous, which will be shown at about 8.30pm tonight during the break in Red or Black, follows actress Charlotte Weston as she tries on a outfits before deciding on a Per Una floral dress.
The second ad, which will be shown on Friday, is called The Date and follows model Claire Durkin trying on outfits before opting for an Autograph wrap dress.
M&S executive director Steve Sharp said: “These ads capture the build-up, excitement and emotion at a time when clothes matter more than ever.
“They tap into the universal truth that women don’t just wear clothes to cover up or follow a trend. They wear them to feel good, to feel more confident and glamorous. To bring this to life, we decided to use lesser known faces, so our customers will relate to the scenarios and feel empathy with the characters.”
The ads were created by agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Rolfe.
