This year’s X Factor contestants are reportedly set to front the Marks and Spencer’s Christmas ad campaign.

The festive adverts dubbed ‘M&X Factor’ will feature the 16 finalists including Frankie Cocozza, Janet Devlin and Kitty Brucknell, according to the Mail on Sunday.

The singers, all hoping to win a recording contract on the talent show founded by Simon Cowell, will record a version of When You Wish Upon A Star to accompany the 60-second advert. The advert will showcase clothing from the retailer’s Christmas range.

M&S would not confirm the reports but it is expected that the advert will be unveiled during a break on the Saturday night show in the coming weeks.

In August M&S was named the exclusive fashion partner of The X Factor.

M&S has partnered with the X Factor for all in-show competitions, including for the main show on  ITV1 and The Xtra Factor on ITV2, and has on-screen branding.

Previous ad campaigns for the high street chain have featured stars such as Dannii Minogue, Twiggy and Lily Cole, however last month M&S revealed a glamorous new autumn campaign featuring actor Ryan Reynolds, actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (pictured) and model David Gandy.
