Electricals group Dixons is to reprise its Star Wars-themed TV advertising , this time featuring arch-villain Darth Vader.

The campaign, in partnership with Lucasfilm, will debut on ITV1 on Saturday during X-Factor, and is designed to promote the high levels of customer service in DixonsCurrys and PC World stores.

The ad recreates a scene from Return of the Jedi, in which Vader inspects the progress of the Death Star. Instead, he inspects a Currys and PC World to check they meet his high standards.

Dixons Retail marketing director Andrea Silver said: “We have invested a huge amount in our staff training and development and we are very proud of the high level of customer service our store colleagues are delivering, so it makes sense that our new advertising campaign champions this.”
