Officers Club overcame a slow start to Christmas to notch up 6 per cent like-for-like growth.
Chairman Dave Charlton said a rush in the last week before Christmas saved the day and delivered the sales hike for November and December.
His main focus this year will be to re-site smaller stores in premises measuring at least 4,000 sq ft (370 sq m) and to increase space overall by 15 per cent to 345,000 sq ft (32,050 sq m).
Officers Club also plans to tap into online retailing, with the launch of a transactional Web site in November. Charlton has appointed a team of designers to revamp the existing product showcase site.
