Kingfisher is to invest £150m expanding its presence in Russia.

The DIY retailer, which now makes two thirds of its profits overseas, will open nine stores in the country according to The Telegraph.

Chief executive of the retailer Ian Cheshire is accompanying prime minister David Cameron on his trip to Moscow today.

Kingfisher already runs 17 Castorama stores in Russia. Its sales in the country soared 39% to £240m in its last financial year.

The retailer was prevented from using the B&Q fascia as there is no Q in the Russian alphabet.
