Swedish fashion retailer J. Lindeberg is scouting London for its first UK store.

The Stockholm-based retailer has hired property firm Harper Dennis Hobbs to hunt for a store of around 2,000 sq ft in the West End in a move likely to kick start wider expansion here.

Founded in 1997, the fashion retailer menswear and womenswear  as well as specialist collections aimed at “trend-conscious golf and ski enthusiasts”.

J. Lindeberg has 10 standalone stores in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul and Copenhagen and operates in more than 30 countries across five continents.

The brand already has a UK presence and sells online but has no standalone stores. It sells through Harrods, five-star hotels, and golfwear specialists including golf clubs such as The Belfry.
