Future Group plans to dramatically expand its KB’s Fair Price discount grocery fascia, opening up to 900 stores.
Locations for the new sites have yet to be finalised; the retailer is expected to expand its presence in regions it already operates in such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Customer director Damodar Mall said: “The model is low cost and revenues from these stores have been the highest among all the modern trade players in the neighbourhood space. The model is viable and part of our expansion plans.”
KB’s Fair Price has 173 stores at present.
