Inflation jumps to 2.9% as fashion retailers rein in discounting

Inflation increased 2.9 per cent in June, up from May’s 2.7 per cent and above the annual average driven by clothing and footwear.

Inflation jumped to a 14-month high in June, rising to 2.9% up from May’s 2.7% as clothing and footwear drove prices up.
