Adidas opened the doors to its flagship store at Trinity Leeds today, its largest shop outside of the London.

The 608sq m store features exclusive products across all of Adidas’ ranges and is the only branch outside London to stock its Stella McCartney collection.

The store marks the start of Adidas’ expansion drive. The sportswear brand, which has just seven mainline stores, is on the hunt for more and has already signed for premises in Newcastle’s Eldon Square.

Group retail director Rupert Campbell said that Adidas hopes to open in all major UK cities.

The retailer plans to make it stores “women-friendly” and intends to launch activities such as running clubs and yoga classes at Trinity Leeds.
