£1.6m profit expected
Online fashion retailer Asos has revealed year-on-year sales were up 74 per cent for the first six weeks of this financial year.

The increase comes on the back of sales at Asos increasing 42 per cent in the year to March 31, revealed in a trading statement this morning.

Full-year profit for the year to March 31 is not expected to be below£1.6 million, despite not trading over the Christmas period because its warehouse was damaged in the Buncefield depot explosion.

Chief executive Nick Robertson said: 'With the continued growth in online shopping and the increasing awareness and popularity of Asos among its target market, I remain confident about the prospects for Asos and look forward to a strong year of growth.'
