Homewares retailer Brissi has appointed retail heavyweights Peter Williams and Patricia Burnett to its board.

Former Selfridges chief executive Peter Williams has been named Brissi chairman while former White Company managing director Burnett will take a non-executive director position.

Williams has more than 20 years of retail experience including 13 years at Selfridges. He is also senior independent executive director at Asos.

Burnett stepped down from her role as managing director of The White Company in 2012 after overseeing six years of growth and was previously chief executive Jaegar and managing director of Wallis.

Brissi said: “With Peter’s position as trustee of the Design Council and Patricia’s experience within the homewares sector we are greatly looking forward to their contribution to our future development.”

Brissi retails from four London stores and through 30 concessions in department store John Lewis.

Founded in 2001, Brissi is co-owned by Arianna Brissi and Siobhan McKeating.
