Amazon eyes Net-a-Porter.com acquisition

Amazon is said to be in on-going talks to acquire luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.com, in a deal thought to be worth in the region of €2bn, according to WWD. Specific details are unclear, with both sides refusing to comment.

……and is in talks to trial delivery drones in UK

Amazon has been in discussions with the government to begin trials of its Prime Air delivery service using drones in the UK, The Independent reported. Transport Minister Robert Goodwill revealed he had been approached by executives from the online retail giant because of the firm’s frustrations with regulations in the US. Prime Air aims to deliver packages within 30 minutes by flying drones below 500ft.

Tesco’s F&F brand to debut in Russia in June

Tesco’s F&F clothing brand is set to open its first stores in Russia in Moscow. Two F&F stores will open in June, followed by one more in August, in Moscow shopping malls. Two of the three will be shops within Debenhams stores, Herald Scotland reported.
