The health and beauty retailer’s ad aims to bring to life the process of finding the perfect gift for each person.

It features a woman named Holly, played by It’s a Sin star Lydia West, who finds a pair of glasses with the power to unveil her family and friends’ joy.

The 60-second film premiered on Channel 4, before being posted online and on social media.

Boots is the first retailer to partner with TikTok to offer its Story Selection format, allowing users to choose which iteration of the advert they see based on who they are shopping for.

The retailer is also working with Meta to create an AR filter to help customers find the perfect gift.

Boots is selling its own version of the magic 3D glasses in stores for £2, with 50p from each purchase donated to The Prince’s Trust.

Boots chief marketing officer Pete Markey said: “Our customers have told us that they want Christmas to be about joyful time with loved ones and they are also looking for brilliant value as the cost-of-living crisis is top of mind for them.

“We have developed the Joy for All campaign showing that no matter the size or price of the gift, Boots can help everyone find joy with its most affordable Christmas gifting range ever.”
