Beauty retailer Space NK has seen a “record-breaking peak period” between November and December 2025, with its biggest ever sales week over Black Friday, Retail Week can reveal.
Space NK commercial director Suze College said total business growth increased 26% year on year over peak, with both stores and online seeing “incredible traffic and footfall”.
The beauty chain also had its biggest sales week in its history, as the week of Black Friday surpassed its previous biggest sales week by nearly 20%.
Online trading rose 30% year on year, boosted by the launch of its new app in November. College said the app delivered three times over expectations, while stores also saw an annual increase of 23%.
Christmas gift sets performed well, as the retailer recorded its best performance for gifting ever, growing over 40% in unit sales.
Makeup was the biggest gifting category with annual unit growth of 80%, while haircare and fragrance recorded huge growth of 73% and 65% respectively.
College explained that Space NK’s investment into lower price points “paid off”, as 65% of gift set sales were in the price bracket of £30 and under.
She added: “Continuing to deliver on exceptional customer service & experience was paramount over the festive period; increased capacity across our distribution centre to ensure order dispatch was prompt while balancing store deliveries & intake to ensure the best possible product availability in all our trading channels.”
