Founded by influencer Huda Kattan, Huda Beauty has opened its first-ever bricks-and-mortar pop-up store in London’s Covent Garden.

The space-themed store is inspired by the beauty brand’s newest product, the Mercury Retrograde palette, and promises a “celestial universe” for fans.

Huda products have previously only been available online and in retailers such as Sephora and Selfridges.

The interactive store, which features a selfie room and limited-edition products, is available to visit by appointment only, with limited walk-in spaces. Shoppers and are encouraged to book a time slot online for visiting the store.

Standing out from the grey bricks of Covent Garden’s East Piazza, the mirrored store with neon lettering of the façade is reflected inside, where silver space-suited staff offer colour matching and beauty advice.

Set in a linear format, the shop is split by product – with a foundation wall, eye wall, limited-edition accessories wall and lip-shaped lipstick unit.

Shoppers are encouraged to take selfies in the entirely mirrored ‘throne room’ before making their purchases at the cash desks to the rear of the store and exiting out a back door.

Dubai-based beauty influencer Huda Kattan founded the brand in 2013, originally with a series of false eyelashes.

The product range has expanded to include a myriad of beauty products including foundations to suit a wide range of skin tones, lipstick selections, eyeshadow and face palettes.

Kattan said of her choice to launch her first pop-up store in London: “I have been dying to do a pop-up for ages and I knew the first one had to be in Covent Garden. I have been obsessed with London for ages, it really holds a special place in my heart and I couldn’t think of a more exciting place to have it.”

The store is open until December 26.
