Harry Styles’ beauty and apparel brand Pleasing has announced Shaun Kearney as its first chief executive.

Kearney will join the brand on July 17 and has most recently worked as the chief design and merchandising officer at Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness and lifestyle brand Goop.

Kearney will focus on “diversifying our product offering, introducing new categories and growing our community of collaborators and consumers”, said the brand.

Pleasing founder Harry Styles said: “We are delighted to have Shaun join the Pleasing team. His exceptional vision and extensive experience will be invaluable as we enter the next chapter of Pleasing. We are excited to continue to explore ideas, categories and characters alongside him.”

Kearney said: “I am thrilled to be joining Pleasing as we set the brand up for future scale and success. We have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives and expand our product offering through many different lifestyle verticals and multiple channels of business.”

The pureplay brand founded by Styles in November 2021 started out with nail polish and has grown to house beauty products, accessories and apparel that are completely vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and ethically sourced.
