Fashion brand targets out-of-town sites for expansion
H&M has become the latest retailer to sign up for a unit at Pillar Property's Crown Point North shopping park at Denton in Greater Manchester. A rent of£27.50 per sq ft (£296 per sq m) has been agreed for the 7,500 sq ft (695 sq m) store, the retailer's fifth out of town. It is also looking to take more stores on retail parks.

The 212,000 sq ft (19,695 sq m) fashion park was developed by Reeb Estates, and forward-sold to Pillar for£31 million. Other tenants include Arcadia, with Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Evans and Wallis stores. Bhs, New Look, Boots, TK Maxx, JD Sports and Birthdays are also present. Sports World opened an outlet just before Christmas, reporting strong trading figures during the opening week.

Letting agent Dalgleish is in negotiations with more fashion retailers, and expects to sign several more deals in the coming weeks.
