Tesco has launched its biggest ever product tasting campaign to highlight its Christmas food offer at 600 of its stores.

The campaign will run from today right up until Christmas, with a range of Christmas products available for tasting at Superstore and Extra stores across the country.

As part of the initiative, 270 of Tesco’s Extra stores and Superstores will host their own Christmas Food Festival, offering samples of products across Tesco’s entire Christmas range through specially themed displays.

It comes as chief executive Dave Lewis attempts to tempt shoppers back and rebuild trust in the grocer following last year’s accounting scandal.

Key products available for tasting during the campaign include: Tesco’s range of party food, which has been specially designed to cook all at the same temperature, helping party hosts; Tesco finest prosecco and elderberry crisps; and Tesco Free From profiteroles.

Tesco’s chief product officer Jason Tarry said: “We’re very proud of the quality of our Christmas food range this year so we wanted to help our customers to try some of the amazing new products we’ve developed.

“Buying something new can sometimes feel like a risk, especially if you’re entertaining guests, so we hope the tastings will help our customers to find exciting new products to enjoy.”
