The Entertainer has launched its first ever Christmas TV advert, enlisting the help of legendary actor Brian Blessed.
The 30-second spot, which debuted this week on ITV, is entitled The Tale of the Magical Penny.
The Brian Blessed-voiced ad promotes the retailer’s mix and match sale, which allows shoppers who buy a product during the festive season to purchase a second one for a penny.
The campaign was developed by advertising agency Bigdog and comprises 10 and 30-second TV spots.
The Entertainer’s marketing and ecommerce director Phil Geary said: “Christmas represents a fantastic opportunity for us to make a real impact in this competitive trading period.
“We wanted to create a memorable commercial which resonates with all the family and promotes our unique Mix & Match Penny Sale across multiple channels to drive footfall both in-store and online.”
The retailer’s first Christmas TV ad campaign follows it reporting its second consecutive year of growth last month.
