Home shopping group Findel has hired former Focus DIY boss Bill Grimsey as non-executive director.
Grimsey has over 40 years retail experience at retailers including Tesco, Kingfisher, Wickes and the Big Food Group. Most recently he was non-executive chairman at collapsed DIY specialist Focus.
Grimsey will take up the role on March 1.
Findel kick-started a three-year turnaround plan in June following an £80.5m refinancing to stem spiralling debts.
Findel chairman David Sugden said:”We are delighted that Bill is joining the board. His expertise will be invaluable to Findel and will complement the existing skills and experience on the board as we continue our focus on delivering the Findel transformation.”
